The Marlboro name has been around since 1924, when Philip Morris introduced the brand and named it after Great Marlborough Street in London. In the 1950s the Leo Burnett agency turned it into an American icon with the Marlboro Man, and designer Frank Gianninoto created the red and white package that still defines the look. Today the brand is made by Philip Morris USA, part of Altria, in the United States and by Philip Morris International elsewhere. Marlboro Clothing is not part of either company.
What we sell is the style that grew around the name. Marlboro colors spent 1974 to 1996 on McLaren’s Formula 1 cars and Marlboro became Ferrari’s title sponsor in 1997, while the Marlboro Adventure Team catalog, which reached the United States in 1993, put caps, fleeces and tracksuits into millions of closets. Our racing jackets, hoodies, vintage sweatshirts, graphic tees, caps and shorts draw on those two worlds and come in sizes S to XXL.
